Citing the threat of online censorship from the Government, international computer hackers has announced plans to put their own communications satellite into orbit.
According to BBC News technology Reporter David Meyer, a very detailed plan, this week during the chaos communication Congress (CCC) in Berlin, was in response to a bill like stopping Online piracy Act (SOPA), which will allow the US Government to block sites that are believed to violate the intellectual property laws.
Meyer reports that while some fans have managed to successfully put small satellites into orbit for a short period of time, but that their tracking has proven to be difficult because of budgetary constraints.
